To Lucifer’s Legion: You MISSED! Our Spirit!

The disaster of September 11, had been preceded by my personal loss of a very dear friend, whom I wrote about in our last update, "Bebop Blues Funky Jazz Cruise Docks in Safe Harbor". I was barely into acceptance of his passing when 2 weeks later, we heard the news of the attack in New York City. I, like millions of other people, were left stunned and searching for answers. I found comfort and hope in tenets of my faith, and I hope others have been able to do the same, but if you are still searching you may find answers in a couple of articles on our site:

I have been very impressed with our Government leaders who have quickly responded with tracking down the evil ones in Lucifers Legion, and with our Spiritual leaders of all faiths who have joined together to denounce these terrible attacks. There have been many comments or actions that have helped with our Grief process, but one of the best was from an email sent to Bill Anderson, of the Grand Ole Opry. I’ve been glued to the TV for days and was looking for solace in good old American country music on cable TV.

The first entertainer to appear on the screen was Bill Anderson who read from an email he had received. I wish I’d had a pencil handy, but as near as I can summarize, the writer said to the attackers -

‘you attacked our buildings, but your attack failed,

you attacked our bodies, but your attack failed,

you failed because you missed AMERICA, you missed - our spirit.’

I tried to find the exact contents of that email on The Grand Ole Opry site at www.country.com but couldn’t. If anyone has the exact quote, please contact me.

This week, the best way we can help defeat these evil ones is to return to our work, and our lives as near normal as possible.

I had intended to celebrate National Singles Week (September 16 - 22) by offering reduced V.I.P. membership through the end of the week. But, as I’m sure people have more serious things on their mind this week, I will be extending that offer through the end of September, and donating the proceeds of all V.I.P. membership enrollments to the Red Cross in New York city.
