Getting Your Priorities Straight

It is funny how people will spend $1.79 for a bottle of soda sometimes 2 - 3 times a day, but won't spend a fraction of that to improve their financial position in life. People go to restaurants all the time and fork out $20, $30, $40 or more for a meal, but would never think of taking 10% of that meal cost and improving their lives.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against what people spend their money on as it is their business and only their business. However, when I see the unemployment rate at 6% and the traffic jams created by commuters going to jobs they hate or people living paycheck to paycheck, I just have to wonder where their priorities are?
