publication from September 1993.
I came across a column I had done with the
title shown above. Reading my
thoughts from so long ago seemed a little
eerie at first, but then I realized my
views have not changed a great deal,
in fact they have been re-affirmed by
events since then.

VI) TODAY'S JOKE:
OIL
SHORTAGE???
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to
have an oil shortage here in America. Well, there's a very simple answer:
- Nobody bothered to check the oil.
- We just didn't know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical -
- Our OIL is located in Alaska, California,
Oklahoma, TEXAS
- Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington
