1) Singles, The Magazine for Today's Single was updated on February 1. Have you read the current issue yet? The February Feature looks at just what this Valentine's Day is all about. Other articles focus on Romance as well, like Father Lance's article "Romance - or Real Intimacy. Do you know the difference?" And as we have more on our minds than Romance and dating, find useful information in the departments on Career, Sports, Health, Money, Career, Science & Technology, Entertainment, and Relationships. By the way, have you created your free ad for our Personals? With Valentine's Day coming there's sure to be someone looking just for you in the personals. This is a new Wing for our site and we need your free ad to help build our ads database. Who knows, by spring you may even be able to find a new romance through that database. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Singles Center is now a registered Travel Agent for Prestige Travel Systems so watch for some specials on travel coming your way. As an agent we will be able to offer more of a discount on travel. We do need your help in planning trips. When we have a good list of trip suggestions we'll add to the new page we'll creating for booking group or individual trips. Since our members come from all over the US, and perhaps don’t have enough people locally to form a group that requires at least 15 travelers, we can travel together with a few from each city to reach the group level. That is, if you are willing to take a chance on meeting and traveling with strangers. We will plan to meet on the net in chat rooms or video conferencing but it still requires that you be a little adventurous about getting to know other singles. Of course, you could always get a couple of people together in your own area to go along so you’d have your own little gang with you. I have my little gang here in the Rochester NY area and we are currently working on taking a trip through Elderhostels.org since some of our friends are eligible to do that. How about you? It’s a chance to get away from the phones, emails, and computers, and focus on the quality of my life and spiritual core, not to mention the cheapest vacation I‘ve ever had. Are any of you Episcopalians? I’d love to take my own “Gang” with me and do a special discussion group for singles who’d like to get back in touch with their church or spiritual life. And wouldn’t it be nice if I could coerce Father Lance into leading the group. Having formerly been a Chaplain for singles at a Midwest University, he’s accustomed to ministering to singles. No, you don’t have to be Episcopalian to participate. Episcopalians are a very accepting group and probably the most irreverent of all the denominations, with the best sense of humour. We assume ability to network is a prime objective, but we need information about your local area - like what is suitable for that area that would allow us the chance to meet and greet each other - a sports event (spectator or participator) or theatre party, or Travel night, or singles dance, or Personals party, or what-have-you.
